SteppeMind models and capabilities

In Oscivara you choose the musical outcome, not the underlying technology. Public model names explain the kind of work each option is designed for without making you learn how the service is built. Composer creates and reshapes finished audio, while Maestro works with editable project structure and MIDI.

An audio track and a MIDI score are different results. Audio is ready to audition and arrange. MIDI stores musical events, so you can move notes, replace instruments, edit dynamics and reshape the structure after applying it.

The four Composer models

Aurora Versatile premium generation of a complete, polished track. Choose it when the finished sound matters most.
Pulse Fast previews, alternatives and short iterations. Use it to explore a direction, mood or rhythmic idea.
Prism More detailed adherence to the prompt, structure and musical nuances. It is useful when sections, instruments and development are carefully described.
Forge Work on existing music: replace a region, change style, add or extract a part, complete an arrangement or create a variation.
Horizon Long instrumental stereo music, continuation, cover, variation and targeted replacement. Supports a negative prompt and adjustable change strength.

No model guarantees that its first result will be your final version. Listen first, compare the result with the request and only then apply it to the project. Do not start several identical tasks at once: work continues in the background and waits in a queue when all processing places are occupied.

How Forge and Horizon reshape existing audio

Forge can work with a regular audio track when its source format is supported and the file is available to the project. For a precise replacement, select a region of the clip on the timeline, open SteppeMind and describe what should stay and what should change. A whole suitable track can be used for a broader style change, completion, extraction or variation.

Oscivara keeps the task connected to its source clip, selected range and project. The result appears as a separate preview, so the original is not replaced without your decision. After listening, you can apply the version, keep the source, download the file or discard the change. Save the project before a larger transformation so comparison and recovery remain clear.

Maestro and Score

Maestro understands the current musical context: selected MIDI notes, tracks, instruments, samples and loops. It is intended for focused edits, developing an idea and arranging an existing project. State clearly which elements must be preserved.

Score creates a complete multi-track MIDI score from a description. The result remains editable: open each part in the MIDI editor, correct notes, replace an instrument or restructure the music. When tempo metadata is available and the timeline is empty, Oscivara can adopt that BPM automatically. An existing project keeps its current tempo so a new idea does not unexpectedly rebuild an arrangement.

Write a useful prompt

Use clear, natural language. Describe the purpose, mood, development, main instruments, treatment of vocals and anything that must remain unchanged. For a regional edit, state the preserved foundation first and the desired difference second: “keep the harmony and length, make the drums tighter, and add a short transition at the end.”

Avoid contradictory requests such as “very calm and maximally aggressive at the same time” unless you say where each character belongs. If a result misunderstands the request, simplify it and change one audible quality at a time. Current duration, availability and credit limits are shown in the interface because they can change without requiring the guide to be rewritten.

What happens while a task runs

The task runs separately from the Studio interface. Its panel shows preparation, queueing, generation and the finished result. You can close SteppeMind and continue working; task history lets you return later. Do not refresh merely because progress pauses for a while. If the connection is interrupted, reopen history and check the task before starting a duplicate.
